The home state was based on forced labor.  The people who were forced to work for the state were called 'pikes'.  A fixed number of ‘pikes’ were to be sent from each village.  Population - Moving people from more populated areas to less populated areas based on census broke the Ahom clan.  The administrative system became centralized in the first decade of the seventeenth century.  Under current laws and provisions, it is a crime to force someone to work, as we all know.

All the men of this tribe joined the army during the war and at other times did public works like irrigation.  The Ahoms implemented innovative methods of rice cultivation.  The Ahom society was divided into clans.  His clan was called "Khel".  The game was controlled by many villages.

The land given to the farmer by the village society could not be taken back even by the king without the consent of the village society.  Initially, the Ahom people worshiped tribal deities (gods of nature).  Land donated to temples and Brahmins by the king.  Hinduism became the main religion in the time of Sibsinh (1714 - 1744).  Despite adopting Hinduism, the Ahim kings did not abandon their traditional beliefs completely.

The Ahom society was a highly civilized society.  Land was donated to poets and scholars.  Promoting drama.  Important literary works of Sanskrit were translated into the local language.  The historical work 'Buji' was written first in the Ahom language and then in the Assamese language.  In Gujarat, Dangs and other eastern states had such tribal states.  The state system and culture of Santrampur, Devgadhbaria as well as Dang were special.

Their dances like Tamashi, Bhavada and Tharya have become world famous.  In Dang, Dang-Darbar is filled every year, in which kings are given anniversaries, Dangi dance. Learn so much.  The government decided to give dynastic traditional ‘saliyanu’ to the Dangi kings and heroes in return for their rights, a tradition that continues to this day.

Changing Times: The Structure of New Tribes We tried to understand the history of the tribes up to the 16th and 17th centuries.  Over time, many tribes underwent extensive changes.  Both societies changed because of the 30 interactions between people of the caste-based society and the tribal society.  Different tribes adopted different livelihoods.

Over time, many of these tribes became part of a caste-based society.  However, many tribes largely stayed away from Hinduism and the caste system.  Some tribes established large powerful states with well-organized administrative systems.  So that they clashed with empires larger and more complex than theirs.  Imagine you are a member of a nomadic race community that changes residence every three months.  What effect will this have on your life?
